Nina MORIÆ Biography

  Frumoasele Italiei, perchezitionate

Zilele urmatoare, si superba Aida Yespica, fosta iubita a fotbalistului Adrian Mutu, va primi vizita politistilor, precum si mandat de verificare a conturilor in banci. Presa italiana sustine ca vor mai iesi la iveala si alte nume mari ale modellingului din Italia care au fost implicate in ?scamatorie?.

Nina Moric was born in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, on July 22, 1976. She grew up in an upper-middle class household, and her parents, a doctor and an economist, encouraged her follow her dream of becoming a lawyer.

Nina recognized that although she had the brains to pursue the higher intellectual echelons, her body could put most women's to shame. So she entered a national pageant and was awarded the title of Miss Croatia. At that moment, she decided that she could very well be a world-famous model.

She entered the Elite Look of the Year modeling competition in 1996, and came in second.

Even though she didn't take the top trophy home, the powers that be noticed Nina's enormous potential. She joined the Croatian modeling agency Midiken with a two-year contract worth $75,000 US. While continuing law school, she started modeling for some of the most prestigious fashion houses in Milan.

In 1998, she reentered the Elite Look of the Year modeling competition once more and this time she won, earning the title of Model of the Year. This victory proved a launching pad for her career as it got her a two-year contract with one of the most celebrated modeling agencies in the world, L.A. Models.

a taste of fame

She then relocated to Los Angeles, where she started to model for companies like Versace, Erreuno, and Les Copains. A mere four months after her move to America, she was cast in the music video of a little-known Puerto Rican pop star.

The singer was
Ricky Martin and the video was for the song "Livin' La Vida Loca." Not only did the song prove to be a chart-topper, but it was nominated for six trophies at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home the titles of Best Dance Video and Best Pop Video. As the brunette seen draped all over the Latino heartthrob, Nina left a lasting impression.

At the time, there were talks of making a sequel to the 1994 blockbuster film The Mask and
Jim Carrey desperately wanted to cast the beautiful Nina Moric as the female lead. Unfortunately, negotiations fell through and Canadian funnyman Carrey left the project.

Having realized her dream of becoming a world-famous model, Nina discovered that she was a star in Italy, and became a TV correspondent on Torno Sabato with Giorgio Panariello on RAI1.

She was also on Canale5 with Luca Barbareschi and she played Bora the Vampiress with Natasha Stefanenko and Enrico Bertolino on RAI2's Convenscion2001. She did television commercials for perfumes, fashion lines, as well as for Citizen watches and Infiore swimwear.

In 2000, she decided that music was something she wanted to try. Teaming up with techno/dance producer Joe T. Vannelli, a man who had worked with artists such as Erasure, New Order, and Bobby Brown, she released a single called "Star."

Released in four remix versions, it didn't catch on and therefore an album wasn't produced. Nevertheless, Nina insists that she takes her music career seriously and it's still her goal to record an album.

Nina Moric
Incredi-body!

Incredi-body! That's one word to describe sexy model Nina Moric! Or Fantastibloodylady! That would be another one!

Croationism! It’s a controversial new fundamentalist religion, which teaches that girls from Croatia are the most beautiful girls on earth! And here’s the proof: Nina Moric, the brain explodingly fit sex-angel who we first noticed draped over Ricky Martin in the video to ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’. She’s since been living ‘the crazy life’ for real, as an international sex-bomb superstar model! We caught up with her in Milan and spoke about revenge, hairy hands and Ricky Martin’s minty-fresh breath…

Do you still live in Croatia?

No, I live in Milan now. I started modelling when I was 16, and I was travelling all over the world. I’m not sure what nationality I am now. Croatia is very beautiful, and it has great people. It’s a small country, but it’s a successful country – lots of sports people and a lot of beautiful models. We have good genes.

What are Croatian men like?

I haven’t dated one in years! They’re really, like, ‘men’ men. Very controlling, very jealous… very tall. Huge. Enormous! I don’t care what nationality a man is, so long as he’s sweet and loving and normal.

What are you doing next?

I want to move to LA and try something new. I’m famous here, and I feel my mission is complete in Italy. I want to try overseas. I want to see what I’ve missed by doing the same thing for years.

Do you plan to go into acting?

I want to give it a try, but also I can sing. I have a beautiful voice. I just want to see. If something comes up, it’s OK. If it doesn’t, it’s OK. I’m not exactly desperate to work; I already have a job. But I am taking acting classes here.

Is it true you originally wanted to be a lawyer?

I was studying to be a lawyer, yeah. But not any more. Maybe in the next life. I don’t regret not doing it, because I love my job and what I do. But I do regret not studying more. But I’m proud of what I’ve done. I look at myself in the mirror and say, ‘You rock, girl.’

You’re incredibly famous in italy. Do you get mobbed everywhere you go?

The south of Italy’s full of life and happy people, so you can move out there without someone protecting you. You feel like you’re giving them a little piece of your world, and they care about you. It’s nice.

You became famous in the video to ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’. What does Ricky Martin smell like?

He smells amazing! He eats these peppermints constantly. His breath was amazing – I was, like, ‘Wow!’. At five in the morning he’s still fresh!

Did he try and shag you?

No, it was just a job. His girlfriend was there, and she’s really nice.

Who’s the biggest celebrity you’ve rejected?

I don’t know… I never noticed any celebrities trying to pick me up! I never had time…

Is it true you made a techno album recently?

No! I went to a studio to record a song for fun, and they made a sort of house song out of it. It was unfortunate, because the song wasn’t that great. I didn’t give them the rights to use my vocals or anything. In Italy they like to do this sort of thing.

Would you put house music on if you were trying to seduce a man?

No, I hate house music! I like rap.

We read somewhere that you’re a big Barry White fan.

No, my first boyfriend was a fan, and I wanted to have at least one thing in common with him, so I said I liked it too. I like Robbie Williams. I love his music.

What?! Why?

I think he’s very spiritual. I think he has a nice head. A really nice head. I like his head.

What kind of music would someone have to put on in the bedroom for you to dump him on the spot?

House or techno.

You once said, ‘I don’t see myself as a sexy girl, but I do like my breasts. They’re great.’ Are your breasts still your favourite part of your body?

Sure! But I’m so normal. I never put make-up on. I’m trying to work on my spiritual life.

That’s nice. now name some other parts of your body that you like.

I love my legs and my bum. And my breasts. I love my body! God gave me a beautiful body. I like it, it’s nice. I treat it right.

What’s your favourite body part on a man?

Maybe the shoulders.

Shoulders?

Yeah… I like shoulders. I like big men, I like protection. And I like hands.

Big hands?

Maybe big and strong…

Big, strong, hairy hands?

No! I’m not so crazy about hairy men.

When was the last time you made a grown man cry?

I made my husband cry once – I destroyed his passport! I wanted to hurt him. He had to leave the country for a job, and when I ripped it up, he cried. I’m bad… when I go mad, oh my God.

Are you a drink-throwing, suitslashing kind of girl?

No, I don’t go for big things. I go for small-but-strong things – the stuff that really matters. Just enough to send them a message: don’t fuck with me.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been sent by a fan?

I got sent used boxer shorts once. That was kind of, ‘eurghhh…’ I don’t know what he was thinking, but that was really weird.

Have you seen a male stripper before?

No! I missed out on stuff like that – it’s something I want to see! I have a friend of mine – he’s famous now but he used to be a stripper.

His name’s not Chico, is it?

No.

Oh. What can a man do to change your mood from bad to good?

Tell me you love me, and you’ll have everything you need.

We love you. Who’s the most famous person you know?

I don’t know… I met a lot of celebrities. I think… my mum! She’s so famous where she lives! Everyone in my hometown knows her. She’s an economist and she gives talks all the time.

What’s it like being one of the most attractive women on the planet? A laugh?

I never really thought about it. It’s flattering – everyone likes compliments – but it’s a part of my life, and it’s OK, but I just want to live my life. I have so many passions in my life
